A couple of days ago I heard Barrack Hussein Obama say that he is opposed to gay marriage, but he is for civil unions, and that gays should not be “discriminated against”. He felt people should consider the Sermon on the Mount, and not some “obscure passage” in Romans. I had to think about it for a couple of days, before I could blog on this absurdity. If you want to know if someone is a true dyed in the wool Christian, the best litmus test is how that person views the Word of God. Liberals always betray themselves because they pick and choose which parts of the Bible they believe are genuine words of God. So, those people who are of the tree hugger persuasion pick verses that deal with “tending the garden”, those who are into ridding the planet of poverty, look for verses that tell us to “feed the poor”, those who want us to accept gay marriage, and gay rights, look for the “love thy neighbor” passages. But for the true Christian, every dotted ‘I’ and every crossed ‘T’ from cover to cover is the Word of God.
Now as to the obscure passage in Romans, I think Mr. Barrack Hussein Obama is talking about the first chapter of the book of Romans; the opening shot across the bow of sin delivered by God through the pen of Paul the Apostle, which is not only a direct hit against homosexuality, but states it to be a judgment call because they rejected God. Now the last time I checked the Apostle Paul wrote two thirds of the New Testament; how the first chapter of Romans becomes obscure escapes me. The lesson for the right; don’t buy the lie of the left that they are evangelicals; it is only a ploy to get our vote.
